A few of our competitors hold the occasional get-together, but who else
can say they have held this type of instructional meeting for more than 15 years! Our customers who attend the user group meetings have enjoyed the complimentary catered luncheon, listening to the guest speakers and mingling with vendor representatives. Meetings include demonstrations and lunch. The Access Control session displays products and various security systems, normally with a representative from the company of the products being displayed. The HVAC meeting involves a presentation and discussion of a pre-determined topic. Some of the past topics have been year 2000 compliance, new software revisions, runtimes, host time schedules, etc. Users' group allows an opportunity for Utah–Yamas Controls' customers to have continuation education on the industry and state-of-the-art products. Both HVAC and access control sessions are presented in a non-sales atmosphere.
Recently, we held our User Group meeting at the newly-renovated State Capitol building where a catered luncheon was provided. Members heard from special guest speakers that included the Preservation Board and Design Team about how they maximized their building management system.
